G'day,
Welcome to the Cricket Player Manager Forum!
A mate and myself used to spend our maths classes playing 'calculator cricket'. This involved using the randomise button on the calculator and adding the totals until you scored a 0 (score a 0 and your player was out). We would write down our teams on a bit of paper and simulate full test matches with running commentary. Cricket Player Manager was written for people like us who love their statistics in cricket.
I'm not too sure how well this forum is going to take off, but it is worth giving it a crack. We have been receiving a lot of e-mails regarding suggestions and bugs, which has been great. I thought that it might be worth starting a little community where people who like the game can discuss it.
If you want to get involved, than please don't shy away - we're happy to receive both positive and negative comments too. At the end of the day, we want to improve the game as much as we can.
There have been over 1000 player careers submitted online, which is a lot considering the game was released in November last year. We have added a thread where you can also talk about player careers. Prior to the World Cup, we will be releasing the teams that contain the top 11 uploaded players from each country. We have written a little program that will automatically select these teams. We will publish these teams prior to the start of the Cricket World Cup.
Cheers,
Andrew Banson Lead Developer
