With the art of all rounders disappearing from the cricket world, 16 year old Dwight Hinds from Guyana arrived on the 2nd grade scene with some promising signs.
Hinds showed some promise averaging just below 40 with the bat and 30 with the ball for the 2nd grade team. Selectors decided to give the 19yr old a chance in the 1st grade team.
His promotion to the 1st grade team is where excelled by delivering on the early promise and faith that was shown. In the 3years playing for the 1st grade team, Hinds averaged 48 with the bat, but also contributing with the ball at an average of 20. With a HS of 128 and BB of 4/18, Hinds was given a first class contract to play for Guyana........
